Finally...

With summer FINALLY here, I am so excited to be starting my own blog! I can now share my creations with those who take interest and hopefully inspire a few of you out there. :) Be sure to follow me on my creative journey this summer...You won't want to miss out!

And what better way to start my first blog post with one of my most recent creations? This mini album is very special as it is for my beloved grandma who currently lives in Poland. I'm visiting her in July and can't wait to see her for the first time in a couple of years!

As you can see, I went Prima crazy with this album! I just fell in love with the Madeline line when it came out, so I had to use it for the fun, bright theme I was aiming at for the album. The front cover was a fun and experimental process for me. Instead of gluing on paper like the traditional way, I decided to cover the chipboard with Tim Holtz tissue tape and painted a thin, watered down layer of green craft paint over it so that the tissue tape was still visible. With all the Prima flowers on the front cover, a plain, green background would complete it.

As for the rest of the album, I tried to keep it pretty simple. I used the cardstock stickers from the Madeline collection to embellish most of the pages and more Prima flowers and bling.
This last inside page consists of more cardstock stickers and a scalloped envelope from Maya Road. I just love altering these little envelopes and incorporating them in each of my mini albums!

Comment, if you please!
Thanks!
